###  Liu Shandong Beef Noodles: Clear Broth and Fermented Black Beans

 Down an alley near Taipei Main Station, Liu Shandong has been serving beef noodles since 1951. Try the pure broth, then toss in pickled mustard greens, chili and whole fermented black beans. It's a big bowl for NT$240, and often has a line.

 Former Michelin Bib Gourmand beef noodle shop in an alley near Taipei Main Station, operating since 1951. The founder came from Shandong province and brought his hometown's beef noodle style to Taiwan. The specialty is chopstick-thick noodles and a clear broth. Two types of beef are available: Taiwanese beef brisket in clear broth or Australian beef braised in a spiced marinade.
