Taiwan logged 4.29 million visitors first half of 2026, up 2.3% 上半年來台旅客429萬人次

January–June 2026

The Tourism Administration reported 4,294,589 international arrivals January–June 2026, up 2.3% year-on-year. Japan was the largest source market, followed by Hong Kong and South Korea. Arrivals grew more than 9% from the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, the United States and India; arrivals declined from Hong Kong and Macau, Malaysia, the UK, Japan and China. The Southeast Asian and Indian growth versus the Japanese and Hong Kong softness is a real shift, and it has practical implications for what languages and cuisines Taiwan's tourist-facing businesses are catering to.
