The Taiwan Table is an independent editorial site about Taiwanese food, restaurants, and travel. It is run by Kalen Johnson. You can reach us at info@taiwantable.com.

What we collect and why

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. It is stored with our email service provider and used only to send you Taiwan Table updates. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email, or by emailing us.

Contact form

When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. This is sent to us by email and is not added to any mailing list or database.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how readers find and use our content. Google Analytics collects information such as your IP address, browser type, device, and pages visited. This data is aggregated and used to improve the site — we do not use it for advertising or remarketing.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by enabling your browser's Do Not Track setting. Google's own privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Server logs

Our hosting provider retains standard request logs (IP address, user agent, pages accessed) briefly for security and abuse prevention. These are not shared or sold.

Cookies

This site uses the following cookies:

  • Functional A session cookie used to remember your language preference and to support interactive features. This cookie is not used for tracking.
  • Analytics Google Analytics cookies to measure aggregate site traffic. See the section above for opt-out options.

We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.
