星巴克
Starbucks (星巴克) arrived in Taiwan in 1998, with the first store in Tianmu. It's run by President Starbucks (統一星巴克), which started as a joint venture with Uni-President, the group that also runs 7-Eleven in Taiwan, and has been fully Taiwanese-owned since 2017. With around 600 stores, it's the largest coffee chain in Taiwan.
A tall latte is NT$125 and a tall Americano NT$100, after the February 2025 increase, the first since 2017. Members of the Starbucks app get recurring buy-one-get-one 好友分享 days, usually running for three days from 11 AM to 8 PM on Grande or larger drinks.
The Starbucks listed here are all in Tamsui, and our guide to the six Starbucks of Tamsui covers each one: the Riverside store's balcony faces Guanyin Mountain at sunset, the Cloud Gate store is a glass house on the grounds of the Cloud Gate Theater, and the Hongshulin store has only eight seats.
