Xin Jian Cheng Bakery, founded in Tamsui in 1951, has released gift boxes co-branded with CUPPY and Snoopy. The large box contains eight Earl Grey tea sachets and a choice of pastry assortments including the signature white-sesame flaky crust around winter melon and salted egg yolk. Boxes are on sale online and in the bakery's shops.

500 Dishes Award publishes full 2026 list in English 2026【500盤】第六屆完整得獎名單｜首份台灣人觀點的美食評鑑

The 500 Dishes Award, a restaurant guide from a Taiwanese perspective, published its sixth-edition winners on 21 September: 314 restaurants received at least one plate. Silks House led with 13 plates, Zhi Ming Li took 8, and Hung Mien and Ming Fu Taiwanese Cuisine tied on 6. The organisers publish a bilingual site and a Google Map of all winners covering Taipei, New Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Yilan, Hualien, Taitung and Penghu.

Sushi Express Group is running 17 limited-time crab items developed with Korean chef Jung Ho-young from 22 September to 9 November, using Korean red snow crab and deep-sea red crab. Items differ between the chain's three brands: conveyor-belt Sushi Express restaurants carry a torched double-crab lava cheese dish, while Sushi Express PLUS has torched crab roe served in the shell and a soft-serve with brown-sugar crab-miso sauce, and MAGiC TOUCH offers a whole fried soft-shell crab nigiri and a steamed egg custard topped with crab roe and crab meat.

7-ELEVEN branches nationwide are running buy-two-get-two on the same item from 28 September to 2 October, with no membership needed. It covers the CITY CAFE extra-large americano and extra-large thick-milk latte, and the CITY PRIMA large specialty americano and flat white. Stores with the premium coffee counter add buy-two-get-two on the champion americano and buy-two-get-one on the champion latte over the same five days.
Louisa Coffee launches smoked-yuzu yakiniku menu with Gyu-Kaku 路易莎咖啡 X 牛角日本燒肉專門店 煙燻柚香燒肉風味清爽登場

Louisa Coffee has started a second collaboration with Japanese yakiniku brand Gyu-Kaku, on sale at branches nationwide from 24 September to 31 December with no membership needed. The eight items include smoked-yuzu beef or pork on grilled milk toast, smoked-yuzu beef or pork over rice, a beef or pork rice-bun burger and a pressed beef sandwich.

Order at the counter at any MOS Burger branch with no app and no membership: buy a designated set and the first is 10% off and the second 35% off, from NT$74 a set. The breakfast and lunch-and-dinner combos change every block across six periods: 25–28 September, 2–5 October, 9–12 October, 16–19 October, 23–26 October, and 30 October to 2 November. For example, 30 October to 2 November offers a pork cutlet burger with a large iced black tea at NT$74.

Beef Noodle King finals at Expo Park, 9–11 October 臺灣牛肉麵王爭霸戰開打 調理包組55組入圍十月圓山決戰

The 2026 Taipei International Beef Noodle Festival holds its national final on 9 to 11 October at the Corridor Plaza of Expo Park in Yuanshan, Taipei. Of 58 shops entering the packaged-noodle category, 55 qualified. A market runs alongside the competition where the public can taste beef noodles from different makers.
Taiwan Coffee Festival at Gukeng Green Tunnel, two weekends from 31 October 2026台灣咖啡節「咖了 For World」
31 October to 1 November and 7–8 November 2026; forum 30 October
The 24th Taiwan Coffee Festival runs along the Gukeng Green Tunnel in Yunlin over two weekends, with a coffee forum on 30 October open to industry and the public. Baristas and producers from Indonesia, Japan and Vietnam join Yunlin's own Gukeng and Caoling coffees. Organisers advise checking the official site before travelling.
