Waterfront, Tamsui: A Bali-Style Dinner and a Nightcap at Bar Salix

Misty and I finally tried Waterfront, the sprawling Bali-inspired restaurant on the Tamsui riverside. I had lamb chops with chimichurri that sizzled on a hot plate, she had Jimbaran chicken and vegetable skewers hung from a metal rack, and we ended the night with drinks at Bar Salix up the boardwalk.

Third-floor cocktail bar on the Tamsui River, close to the river mouth, with a view over the water toward sunset. It opens in the evening and runs late, serving cocktails alongside barbecue and other bar food. An English menu is available, and current menus and hours are posted on the bar's Instagram, @bar.salix.
