The easy-to-reach branch of a Tamsui institution, about a two-minute walk from Tamsui MRT and a short stroll from the old street and the riverside. It serves the same dishes that made the original famous: bone-in pork chop rice with pickled mustard greens and lard-fried braised tofu, the jumbo crispy chicken thigh many now prefer, and many traditional side dishes. English and Japanese menus make ordering easier for visitors, though it's still pleasantly DIY — grab a table, mark the sheet, pay at the counter. The most convenient way to try a dish locals have enjoyed since 1971.
