A Tamsui institution serving its famous pork chop rice since 1971, back when it was a humble stall. This is the original branch, tucked down a lane off Zhongzheng Road — the locals' spot, while the riverside branch near the MRT draws the tourists. The bone-in chop comes over rice with pickled mustard greens and lard-fried braised tofu, though many regulars now prefer the jumbo crispy chicken thigh. Pair it with the glossy, starch-thickened 祖傳大滷湯 (ancestral braised soup) and the cult beef-tallow chili sauce at the self-serve counter. Ordering is DIY: grab a table, mark the sheet, pay at the counter. Listed in the 2025 Michelin Guide.
