Shanghainese dumpling chain in the basement food court of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A4. The restaurant traces back to 1972, though this branch opened more recently as an alternative to the crowded Taipei 101 location. The xiao long bao arrives with the standard 18 folds visible through the glass where cooks work by hand. Pork soup dumplings are the signature, but the fried rice with shrimp, steamed taro buns, and bitter melon pork rib soup also draw regulars.
