Din Tai Fung - 101
Branch of the internationally known Taiwanese dumpling chain in the B1 level of Taipei 101 shopping center. The signature xiaolongbao are hand-folded soup dumplings with pork and broth, each with a precise number of pleats. Beyond dumplings, the menu includes braised beef noodle soup, sweet and sour pork, bitter melon pork rib soup, and steamed taro buns. Din Tai Fung started in 1958 as a cooking oil shop and opened its first restaurant in 1972 on Xinyi Road — the original location now does takeout only while this larger 101 branch handles dine-in service and accepts credit cards. Hours are Sunday through Thursday 11:00–21:30, Friday through Saturday and holiday eves 11:00–22:00.
